Rolex’s patented bracelet is robust, reliable, and comfortable to wear.
It began life on the Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master.
The Oysterflex bracelet made its debut in 2015 on Rolex’s distinguished marine-inspired line from its Professional series, the Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master in 18 ct Everose gold with matt black Cerachrom bezel insert. Developed and patented by Rolex, it offers a sporty alternative to metal bracelets without compromising robustness, water-resistance, or reliability.
Given the Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master’s demands of extreme waterproofness, athletic performance, and durability, it is the perfect watch to introduce the Oysterflex bracelet to, which also boasts the same merits. Five years on, the Oysterflex bracelet has since become a staple in Rolex’s bracelet offerings.
Rolex Oysterflex combines the best of two worlds.
The Oysterflex bracelet is as resistant as a metal bracelet. This is courtesy of a unique construction at its core, which features a flexible titanium and nickel alloy metal blade. With this, the Oysterflex bracelet combines the robustness and reliability of a metal bracelet with the flexibility, comfort, and aesthetics of an elastomer strap.
The high-performance black elastomer is known to be particularly resistant to environmental effects while being very supple and comfortable to wear at the same time.
On the Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master and Cosmograph Daytona, the Oysterflex bracelet is fitted with the Oysterlock safety clasp, which is especially helpful in preventing accidental opening.
On the other hand, the Oysterflex bracelet on the new Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller is fitted with a folding Oysterclasp, which features the patented Glidelock extension system. An inventive toothed mechanism integrated beneath the clasp, it allows for fine adjustment of the bracelet length by some 15 mm, in increments of approximately 2.5 mm, without the use of tools.
Comfort and chic always guaranteed.
For enhanced comfort, the inside of the Oysterflex bracelet is equipped with longitudinal cushions. Furthermore, the raised profile allows the bracelet to sit comfortably on the wrist, allowing airflow to circulate underneath the bracelet.
It is featured for the first time on the Oyster Perpetual
Sky-Dweller in 2020.
Since its introduction on the Yacht-Master, the Oysterflex bracelet has been featured on several Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona references. In 2020, the latest iteration of the
Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller in 18 ct yellow gold with bright black dial is the first model in the Classic category to include this innovative bracelet, and the result is stunning.
The Oysterflex bracelet’s sporty aesthetic, comfort, and durability add a new dimension to the Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller’s technical appeal and luxurious disposition. Besides endowing the new Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller a distinctive allure, the Oysterflex ensures optimum wearability and unequivocal style in equal measure.
