The Master of Complications is proud to present a brand new ultra-thin Slim. Fully skeletonised, self-winding and featuring an in-house movement, the new Vanguard Slim Skeleton is a contemporary twist on the trademark Vanguard series, known for its modern and edgy appeal.
Our new skeleton movement has been designed around soft curves, deliberately contrasting with the robustness and strength of the Vanguard case. The easily recognisable bold and iconic numerals of the Vanguard collection have been maintained in order to balance with the contours of the skeleton movement. The Vanguard Slim Skeleton also marks the debut of a brand new case size for Franck Muller, the V 37, making the timepiece even more wearable by both genders.
The 9.1 mm thin Vanguard Slim Skeleton benefits from an automatic winding system and a 38- hour power reserve. It boasts remarkably balanced proportions despite trading in the signature oversized appeal of the classic Vanguard for a gracefully slimmer profile in both the V 41 and the new V 37 case sizes, all the while maintaining a palpably three-dimensional feel to its form. Featuring a similarly sporty design seen in its original form, the side insert is a smooth clean line which follows and highlights the sleek contours of the curved case on its profile.
Due to the extreme case thinness, our watchmakers had to rethink the in-house movement’s skeleton. Therefore, a unique movement dedicated specially to the Vanguard Slim Skeleton has been redesigned and remanufactured. All its components have been carefully cut, open-worked, hand-polished and refined in order to offer an opportunity to admire the internal architecture of the timepiece and the know-how of our master artisans.
After all, the Vanguard Slim Skeleton presented a new challenge for our watchmakers: paring down the case thickness to a minimum while conserving the stylish character, accuracy and technical features true to the Vanguard series. Combining this with Franck Muller’s distinctive numerals on a skeleton movement has truly allowed for an instantly recognisable and stunningly transparent timepiece, allowing one a glimpse into the magical art of watchmaking, and expertise and craftsmanship that the House has perpetuated for years.
The Vanguard Slim Skeleton is available in rose gold or white gold with diamonds. The notable contours of the case are extended in an integrated alligator strap, creating perfect continuity in its curved profile.
