With the launch of a new collection – the Streamliner – earlier this year, H. Moser & Cie. has been garnering new tractions from watch collectors with its strikingly different, and 100% Moser, cushion-shaped case watch with an integrated steel bracelet.
Birth of the Streamliner
The Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic was the first and only model introduced in January, which immediately made a huge impact upon release. Everything is new, and different from the usual Moser watch that we are so familiar with. Yet the watch is instantly recognizable as a master timepiece from the brand, exhibiting Moser’s well-known minimalist characteristic in the watch aesthetic, movement, and functions.
The Streamliner Centre Seconds
Following the self-winding Flyback Chronograph model, H. Moser & Cie. unveils the Streamliner Centre Seconds, a new model that focuses solely on the essential: hours, minutes, and centre seconds. The Streamliner Centre Seconds featured the same steel cushion case which is water-resistant to 12 ATM, albeit slightly smaller and slimmer with a diameter and thickness of 40 mm and 11.8 mm respectively. The watch is worn on a steel bracelet that is fully integrated to the case with no lugs, offering extraordinary ergonomics to the wearer.
It takes on a sophisticatedly rounded structure with elegant curves and hallows on the case, the subtly domed sapphire crystal, and the unique wave bracelet that seamlessly arced to follow the contour of the wrist. After all, the collection is inspired by and drew references from the first high-speed trains from the Twenties and Thirties, whose rounded and aerodynamic curves it evokes.
A brand-new fumé dial
The 3-hand staple classic is paired with a brand-new and uniquely elegant fumé dial in Matrix Green, an electric pop of colour which embraces a complex palette of shades from olive green to red gold that constitutes such vibrancy. The new dial colour is an exciting addition to the fumé family and completes the finishing touch to the timeless elegance of this particular model.
The H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Centre Seconds displays the hours and minutes with 3D hands that are formed of two sections and feature inserts made from Globolight®, an innovative ceramic-based material which contains Super-LumiNova®. It is interesting to note that the minute hand is slightly curved towards the dial plate at the tip.
A movement that is 100% Moser
Beating at the heart of the Streamliner Centre Seconds watch is the HMC 200 self-winding caliber, a 100% Swiss mechanical movement that is entirely designed, developed and produced in-house by H. Moser & Cie. The thereof movement is decorated with the distinctive Moser double stripes, visible via the transparent sapphire case back of the watch. The HMC 200 calibre houses a solid rose gold oscillating weight engraved with the H. Moser hallmark and offers a minimum power reserve of 3 days.
The H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Centre Seconds watch is exclusively available at Cortina Watch Singapore and Malaysia. Book an appointment to view it in our boutiques or check out other models online!
