The new HydroConquest GMT, featuring a signature green sunray dial and matching rubber strap, is now available at Shop.CortinaWatch.com
Get ready to explore new horizons with Cortina Watch and Longines. The leading retailer and distributor of luxury timepieces across the Asia Pacific region, Cortina Watch, has partnered with the illustrious Swiss watchmaking house to introduce a limited edition of the HydroConquest GMT, now available exclusively online at Shop.CortinaWatch.com. A true collectible for Longines aficionados and watch lovers, this 41 mm iteration of the HydroConquest GMT features a green sunray dial paired with a matching rubber strap that is exclusive to Cortina Watch.
Limited to 100 pieces, the distinctive timepiece and strap—which is equipped with a micro adjusting clasp to enable precise adjustments for a snug fit—is presented for the first time in a special box of dark wood and beige leather. The set also includes a stainless steel bracelet and khaki green NATO strap, emphasizing the versatility of this online exclusive by providing users with the flexibility to have straps suitable for every occasion.
Combining performance and elegance, the HydroConquest GMT is part of the water sports inspired HydroConquest collection first launched in 2007. Now, it is endowed with a new GMT complication—the first for the line—which allows users to tell the time of two time zones simultaneously, making the watch a perfect travel companion. At the heart of the HydroConquest GMT is the exclusive Longines self-winding calibre L844.5. A state-of-the-art movement, it is equipped with a silicon balance-spring to optimise timekeeping precision, and is ten times more resistant to magnetic fields than the ISO 764 benchmark standard. The movement is also weekend-proof—boasting power reserve of up to 72 hours, it allows the user to set the watch aside on a Friday and wear it again on Monday without missing a beat.
Most of all, the exclusive Longines calibre L844.5 is endowed with an exceptional GMT complication, a feature invented by Longines in the early 20th century. Ideal for intrepid globetrotters, the GMT function is distinguished by a separate 24-hour hand that points to a 24-hour inner dial flange, which indicates the second time zone. Highly legible and requiring minimal effort to set, the GMT complication is an indispensable and reliable function for travellers keen on managing their schedules, both locally and abroad.
Even as the HydroConquest GMT takes to the skies in style, the watch shows its maritime spirit in no uncertain terms. Its 41 mm stainless steel case is equipped with a screw-in crown and a screw-in case back to ensure optimum water resistance up to 300 metres. Meantime, its unidirectional notched ceramic bezel is fitted with a luminescent capsule for uncompromising legibility even deep in the ocean.
“We are excited to introduce the latest Cortina Watch online exclusive created in partnership with Longines. The limited edition HydroConquest GMT showcases Longines’ knack for innovation and unmistakable watchmaking design, as well as Cortina Watch’s passion for delivering the most exclusive horological experiences to our customers,” said Jeremy Lim, CEO of Cortina Watch Pte Ltd.
“HydroConquest watches are designed for those who love to push boundaries and explore new horizons. We are delighted to collaborate with Cortina Watch to launch this exclusive model, combining cutting-edge watchmaking technology, performance and elegance,” said Matthias Breschan, CEO of Longines.
