The Longines Master Collection perfectly embodies the watchmaking expertise and timeless elegance of the winged hourglass brand. Classic and uncluttered, this emblematic line is adopting new models in 2024, which feature stainless steel, bi-material steel-yellow gold, or steel-rose gold cases in 34 mm and 40 mm diameters. Characteristic of these new watches, the sandblasted silver dial is adorned with elegant, engraved Arabic numerals.
The Longines Master Collection perfectly reflects the values of excellence and elegance that have helped forge the brand’s worldwide reputation. Since its launch in 2005, this entirely mechanical line has never ceased to honour the watchmaking tradition so dear to Longines.
The new models are all powered by the exclusive Longines calibre L888.5. This is equipped with a silicon balance-spring and innovative components, providing a magnetic resistance ten times greater than the ISO 764 reference standard. This self-winding mechanical movement has a power reserve of up to 72 hours. Its oscillating weight, visible through the watch’s transparent case back, is plated in rhodium, or yellow or rose gold, to match the colour of the case.
Water-resistant up to 3 bar (30 m), the cases are available in stainless steel (34 mm model only) or bi‑material. On the bi‑material models, the case is capped with 18-carat yellow gold or 18-carat rose gold, with a matching coloured crown. The 34 mm‑diameter, steel model also comes in three versions set with 68 Top Wesselton diamonds.
This generation of The Longines Master Collection is distinguished by its uncluttered dial in sandblasted silver, adorned with twelve engraved Arabic numerals in anthracite, yellow gilt, or rose gilt that elegantly mark the hours. The dial is revealed through a sapphire glass with multi-layer, anti-reflective treatment. The hour and minute hands are in blued steel, yellow gilt, or rose gilt for models with 34 mm steel cases, or yellow gilt or rose gilt for all models with bi-material cases. Engraved on the flange, the minute track accentuates the dial’s understated character.
These elegant timepieces come with either a steel bracelet or a bi-material bracelet, featuring steel capped with yellow gold or rose gold. They are also available with leather straps in brown, red, green, or blue. All these bracelets and straps are supple and comfortable to wear and are fitted with a pusher‑operated, triple‑safety folding clasp.
